Licensed Boarding Kennel
Select A Puppy requires all pets be a minimum of 16 weeks of age, in good overall health, and must be current on the following vaccines/preventative medicine:
- Distemper Parvo
- Bordetella (to include H3N2 & H3N8)
- Heartworm and flea & tick medicine
Owner must provide written documentation from a licensed veterinarian of updated vaccinations prior to, or at drop off time. Select A Puppy accepts no responsibility to accept the pet if the vaccination record is not received, or is not up to date.
Our boarding pet care is available 365 days a year, but drop off and pick up is only available during regular business hours.
We are closed on the following holidays: New Years Day, Easter Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
We have special shortened hours on Memorial Day, Christmas Eve day, and New Years Eve day.
Right of Refusal
Select A Puppy reserves the right to refuse to board any dog or elderly dog that does not appear healthy and of reliable temperament to be able to handle the stress of a typical boarding situation.
Select A Puppy does not accept any dogs that have or show aggression or poor behavior in any form.
Select A Puppy reserves the right to refuse admittance to any dog or dismiss any dog that does not meet or maintain the health, temperament, or other boarding standards, for the safety of the dog, our staff, and other pets in our care.
***Determination of fitness/health/temperament shall be made at the sole discretion of Select staff and management upon physical viewing of the pet.
Are Reservations Required?
Reservations for Boarding are required and it is the Owner’s responsibility to ensure we have proof of all vaccinations prior to using our services.
Can I Bring My Pet's Favorite Toy, Bed Or Blanket?
Yes you can!
Can I Bring My Own Food?
Select A Puppy requires that you bring your pet’s normal food in order to prevent upset stomachs.
What Happens If My Pet Gets Sick?
Select A Puppy will contact you immediately should your pet become ill during his or her stay with us. If medical attention is desired or in the unlikely case of an emergency, we can direct you to one of the many nearby animal hospitals for treatment. Any and all treatment costs are the responsibility of the pet owner.
Can Select A Puppy Administer Medications?
Yes, for a nominal fee medications (excluding insulin) will be administered by one of our highly skilled team members.
My Pet Has Food And Medication That Needs To Be Refrigerated. Can You Accommodate This?
Yes, Select A Puppy has refrigeration for storing food and medication for guests with special health or dietary needs.
What Is Your Deposit And Cancellation Policy?
We do not require a reservation deposit but we please ask you to give us a 72-hour courtesy notice if you need to cancel so we can accommodate other guests.
Are There Age Restrictions?
Select A Puppy requires that all pets be a minimum of 16 weeks of age, and elderly pets must be fully mobile, in good health, and have bladder and bowel control.
Are There Any Breed Or Size Restrictions?
Yes. Select A Puppy only accepts small breeds under 25 pounds due to size limitations in our specialty boarding facility.
Is My Pet Monitored?
All pets in our care are lovingly cared for during their stay by our regular staff during normal business hours and pre-opening hours each day. On holidays and emergency closures we employ a special staff as well to ensure the care and safety of the pets in our care. In addition, our facility has an alarm and camera system to further help to ensure that all pets in our care are safe.
* Staff is not on site 24 hours a day.
Pets must not have any health conditions which could be aggravated by boarding, active play, or have any contagious disease symptoms such as cough, cold, nasal discharge, etc. at time of drop off. If the pet begins to exhibit any symptoms of illness or injury during the time of boarding, owner agrees to accept all responsibility for any and all veterinary exams, care, and treatment that may be deemed necessary.
Select A Puppy is not liable if your dog contracts any illness. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, clean, and healthy environment for all pets. You understand and agree that during normal dog play, your dog may sustain injuries such as abrasions, lacerations, and puncture wound.
