Large and powerful, yet also dignified and profoundly loyal, the courageous Akita is a bold guardian yet surprisingly affectionate with family. With ears erect and curled tail carried over the back, the Akita needs firm guidance and training, regular grooming and exercise, and consistent socialization. Grooming is easily accomplished by regular brushing sessions and the occasional bath.
