An ancient French herding breed with records tracing back over 1,000 years, the athletic Briard has a striking long coat in various color shades. This accentuates its elegant gait and it features upright “heart-shaped” ears showing affection, loyalty, watchfulness, and readiness to spring into action at the first hint of danger to its flock or family. Briards need regular lengthy outdoor exercise.
