Definitely not the breed for the average dog owner, The “Giant” demands respect through its intelligence, strength, and physical prowess in its everyday life. The imposing Giant Schnauzer has a dense water-resistant coat that sheds little but requires a lot of grooming maintainance. The breed only thrives with and requires, extensive socialization and long hours of training and exercise with an experienced, confident leader that can transition its raw abilities into a steadfast, reliable companion boldly able to defend its family and property.
