The large, powerful Greater Swiss Mountain Dog has a striking coat that sheds moderately with a friendly expression and occasional drool, distinctively contrasting with its imposing size and strength combined with steady, confident temperament. This breed needs consistent socialization and guidance to limit overprotective tendencies and moderate exercise outlets including obedience, draft work, or hiking beside its beloved owner and generally is not ideally suited for most pet homes.
