With a historical reputation for serving on Dutch barges, the medium-sized fluffball Keeshond is known for its attentive and alert companionship, coupled with intense loyalty and readiness for a game of fetch or cuddles. The breed boasts cotton soft, thick gray fur with black accents around the feet, ears, and muzzle, creating an upright wedge-shaped outline. The Keeshond expresses playful watchfulness through its plumed curled tail and a wise, kind expression. Grooming is accomplished by regular brushing sessions and the occasional bath. They shed moderately. Smart, affectionate, and easy to train with positive training methods, the Keeshond is a wonderful companion that is adaptable and naturally loves children.
