Feisty despite its small stature, the Irish Terrier enjoys popularity with many high-profile fans, including some American presidents. They feature a red wiry coat with minimal shedding, an alert expression, combined with boundless athleticism that requires plenty of daily adventures. A typical terrier, the Irish is a sturdy yet stubborn companion that gets bored with repetition in training and most enjoys being with his favorite humans. Adaptable to most living situations, the breed does best with an active owner that enjoys traveling and sharing lots of time with a devoted but independant canine companion.
