Originating in England for the purpose of hunting vermin, the lively sweet, little Lakeland Terrier boasts a wiry coat adorned with distinctive saddle markings that frame a foxy expression. Along with its compact and sturdy build, this spirited terrier exhibits tenacious courage and outgoing personality. To thrive, Lakeland Terriers require physical and mental adventures, including regular romps, to satisfy their lively temperaments. Mental stimulation and brisk daily interaction with consistent leaders are essential for this breed to thrive. The Lakeland has a stubborn streak and is easily bored with repetition. The ideal home is with humans that enjoy an independent dog and don’t mind having a jokester as a pet.
