Originally bred as versatile hunters retrieving upland birds, the stunning, medium sized copper colored Vizla is as comfortable at home on the couch as he is in the field. The Vizsla possesses a sweet, happy-go-lucky, people-focused temperament and velcro-like affection. Smart and insightful, the Vizsla enjoys a brisk daily walk coupled with interactive playtime, fresh air, and lots of attention from his humans in order to be happy. The breed does best with active owners providing consistent leadership skills and training to guide their outgoing and exuberant temperaments. The short, wash and wear coat is very easy to maintain and he sheds minimally. Adaptable to a wide variety of living situations, it is said by many owners that the Vizsla is the most devoted and loyal companion.
