Tenacious terriers bred for surviving rugged terrain and harsh year-round weather extremes, the wiry-coated compact sized Welsh Terrier has a hypo-allergenic coat that sheds minimally, making it a good choice for many allergy sufferers. Independent by nature, the Welsh does well as a house pet and easygoing travel companion as long as his needs for mental stimulation are met and he gets to enjoy some outdoor activities before being ready to settle next to you for a cuddle.
